This class builds on the foundation of hatha (physical) yoga with creative, intuitive sequencing aligned to the natural fluidity and pulsation of the body. It can be adjusted to be more strong and dynamic, or more gentle and restorative, depending on how you are feeling and where you are in your practice. It is suitable for beginners to advanced students.
At the end of the class there is the option to participate in at least 5 minutes seated meditation. The close of the class might also include a ‘toning’ – where we employ the voice to bind the relation between individual and collective in a field of embodied vocal resonance.
A common misconception is that in order to do yoga one needs to be ‘super flexible’. This is not the case. Be kind and gentle to your body and it will open in its own time and way. Yoga is designed to support, strengthen, soften and expand your body in the ways that it needs. So rather than trying to push your body to reach a perfect form, yoga should be tailored to suit how you need to be at any moment in time. It is a journey of intimate, intuitive inquiry, rather than one of trying to reach a preconceived, ideal goal.
Yoga is a way of life, rather than a quick fix. Regular yoga practice (at least one studio visit per week combined with home practice) is recommended to receive the benefits of yoga to body and mind.
No bookings required, but if you are a new student please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class so I can register your details. I supply mats, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

For the Monday 8pm class please arrive just before 8pm as I am coming from another class. For all other classes feel free to arrive earlier if you would like to chat and settle into the space.
$20 (Concession $15).
Multiple Class Passes:
$85 for 5 class pass, no expiry.
$160 for 10 class pass, no expiry.
